How to Find Your ESPN Fantasy Football League ID
Updated October 13, 2026
Your ESPN league ID is the number that identifies your fantasy league on ESPN's servers. Tools that read your league, including this site, need either that number or the full web address of your league. ESPN doesn't show it anywhere obvious, so here's where to look.
The short answer
Open your league at fantasy.espn.com in a web browser and look at the address bar. The league ID is the number after leagueId=:
https://fantasy.espn.com/football/league?leagueId=12345678
You can paste the whole address or just the number. Both work here.
On a computer
- Go to fantasy.espn.com and sign in.
- Click your league under Fantasy Football in the menu, or click your team name.
- Click the address bar and copy the whole address.
Any page inside your league works: your team, the standings, the scoreboard. Team pages also contain teamId= and sometimes seasonId=. Those are fine to leave in; only leagueId matters.
On a phone
The ESPN Fantasy app never shows a web address, so you need a browser for this one step.
- Open Safari or Chrome (not the ESPN app) and go to fantasy.espn.com.
- If a banner offers to open the app, close it or tap Continue in browser.
- Sign in and tap your league so you see your team or the standings.
- Tap the address bar, select the whole address, and copy it.
If your phone keeps jumping into the app, long-press a link to your league and choose to open it in a new tab, or temporarily switch to a different browser.
Does the league ID change every year?
No. When an ESPN commissioner renews a league for a new season, the league keeps the same ID. That's what makes it possible to load every past season from one number: the ID stays the same and only the season changes. If your league was deleted and started over as a brand new league, though, the new league gets a new ID, and its history starts from that season.
"League not found" and other problems
- The league is private. This is the most common cause. ESPN leagues are private unless the commissioner makes them viewable to the public, and ESPN won't share a private league's details without a member's login. See how to load a private ESPN league.
- It's the wrong number. A
teamIdorseasonIdpasted on its own won't work. Look forleagueId=. - It's a different sport. A league address that says
/baseball/or/basketball/belongs to that sport's league, even if your football league has a similar name. - The address got cut off. Some messaging apps break long links. Paste just the number instead.
